Case goes before the Court

The case filed against Jackson County by two GMO alfalfa growers claiming that our new ordinance violates Oregon's Right to Farm law is going to be heard in court on May 20, 2015 at 2 PM in front of Magistrate Clarke.

The new ordinance was created when voters overwhelmingly passed Measure 15-119 in May 2014 - 66% voted in favor! Our Family Farms Coalition, along with Center for Food Safety, Oshala Farm and Chris Hardy, have joined the County as defendants in the case, and are represented by Earthrise Law Center and Center for Food Safety.

Public is welcome. Please note that a photo ID is required to enter the court house. No liquids allowed. And be prepared to pass through a metal detector.
