Adelita San Vicente Tello is a leader of the effort to stop the growth of genetically engineered corn in Mexico whose efforts led to a federal GMO injunction last year. Dr. Ignacio Chapela is a microbial ecologist at U.C. Berkley and was one of the first scientists to discover genetically engineered genes in the native Mexican maize growing in the remote hills of Oaxaca, Mexico.
