In celebration of two victories--one at the ballot box, one at the courthouse--we will be marching together on the Fourth of July.
You are invited to walk in the Fourth of July parade with OFFC farmers, supporters, and friends! The parade begins at 10am, and marchers should be in position around 9am.
Please RSVP below
Where to meet: OFFC marchers will gather on Liberty St. south of Triangle Park, between Iowa and Alaska Streets.
Where to park: Many streets that intersect Siskiyou Boulevard will be closed very early Saturday morning, so be prepared to take detours and walk. The Ashland Chamber of Commerce is providing free shuttle service from Albertson's at Tolman Creek Plaza to the bus stop on Lithia Way between 1st and 2nd Streets.
Our entry will include banners, farmers, a tractor, and a flatbed truck with 5 musicians. Marchers are encouraged to wear the OFFC t-shirt, or a green and/or yellow shirt. Our lead banner, in keeping with the overall parade theme, is BEE Active, Live Healthy in GMO FREE Jackson County.
We will have some signs available, or you can make your own. Let's keep the signs positive - no references to Monsanto and no negative messages. Here are some suggestions:
· Family Farmers Support OFFC
· OFFC Protects Family Farms
· Bees Buzz for NO gmo Crops
· Cheer a GMO-FREE Seed Sanctuary
· Jackson County = GMO Free Crops
· (gmo-free) Seeds R Us
Looking forward to seeing you on July 4th!
