Eat flowers, support American farmers: Oregon's Seed to Vase to Table dinner

To most people, flowers grow in gardens or are bought already cut and bundled in shops. Too few of us have had the chance to wander among colorful fields or meet the farmers who produce the fragrant blooms we bring to our table.
Buy Local advocates and nonprofit organizations such as Our Family Farms want to change that. They arrange events to meet hands-in-the-soil growers and encourage everyone to purchase seeds, flowers and food directly from producers.
On Sunday, June 30, supporters of Our Family Farms toured Seven Seeds Farm in Williams, a tiny Southern Oregon town pressed up against the Siskiyou Mountains.
